Just as the news got more hopeful on the Covid-19 front, things started to turn more awkward on the Brexit one. I think if we were involved, we might have long since lost the will to live. I did once hear it suggested that it was a mistake to involve men in negotiations – it should have been handed over to Grans, who are well practised in the art of negotiation with generations of small children!
Lord, it can’t be easy trying to go over and over the same ground of negotiating, and we are glad that we don’t have to do it. Give patience and stamina to those involved, and wisdom to the politicians behind them
