17 St Patrick’s Day
Celebration of St Patrick’s Day is usually associated with Ireland and the Irish diaspora. However for many centuries West Dunbartonshire has claimed him (along with some other places) as their own. In recent years the Christian Heritage of Dumbarton project has organised a fun afternoon for P5 children from both streams of education in the town, bringing them together – and maybe learning something about their heritage.
